conversion coating or class I anodizing. You have to remove the generic oxide film and form a more uniform and slightly porous oxide layer to anchor the coat.

EDT is electric discharge texture. It produces one of the 3 common surface finishes of Aluminum products. But the process is not the same as rolling or stamping.
