Advice on HDTV or Projetor

Hi,

Can you share your opinion with me on how to choose a good display set for home theater system?
I have two choices for now, a 44-inch Panasonic LCD projection HDTV for about $1300, good quality but not first class product. Or I can buy a good HD projector for about $1600-2000, same resolution as Panasonic LCD TV at 720p and 1080i. I am considering this oiption since I may move out of state in next three years.

Projector can provide desirable larger size of display but cost slightly higher according to my research. It also requires dark enviroment, otherwise it won't satisfy. LCD Projection TV is easy to install, brighter, and cheaper but still looks bulky compare to some plasma models. Don't want to to spend too much for a plasma for now.

What would you choose? And do you know any better deal? If you have the LCD/DLP projection TV, do you buy the service plan(2 or 4 years) which covers the bulb? Can you change bulb yourself?
