Network expert please come in

I have a problem that may be caused by the Microsoft network protocols and 802.11b wireless adapter. When I install the u***** wireless adapter to the computer and run it. The connect icon appears that connection is fine. But actually the the computer didn't set up the connection with the router. It can send out the bytes but can't receive . I use dlink 614+ router and Linksys Wu*****11 wireless u***** adapter. I set up the TCP/IP correct in the windows. Who knows how to deal with situation.
