Adobe Reader 6.0 hangs

For some reason my Adobe Reader 6.0 suddenly hangs under windows XP pro. Task manager shows that AcroRd32.exe is using almost 100% CPU. Tried to re-install Adobe Reader 6.0 and to restore system to an earlier day before the problem occured, but no success so far.

Anyone has ideas about this? Thanks!
