对于软件业，微软大概相当于秦始皇 Windows统一了许多事情

Common Dialog library统一了打开文件，另存文件，打印，搜索，替换的界面

Common Control library 统一了工具条，状态栏，蹦出式提示，进程状态
指示灯一大堆界面

GDI (Graphical Device Interface)统一了显卡，打印机的驱动程序界面

DirectX统一了3D显示编程界面

其它的还有很多 NDIS, Unidrive, IME, MiniBus等

看看linux的状况，还是几大阵营分崩离析，稍微有点脑子的就
不难得出结论，呵呵
