My wife worked in a regional CPA firm (literally a "sweat" shop) in VA for two tax seasons, which counts 70% of their revenue. During Jan-March, 10 hrs is mandatory, 11 hrs is when someone start to leave and weekend is half day at least on Sat. 60 hours a week is average. They do comp you for the long hours in the summer though, which was good. If you work for a firm like that, you think you have time for school? You may have to change your plan because tax firms for you now are unlikely. Freakly speaking, you are not very strong accoutant candidate. Try non-tax position or wait once have a degree, so bigger company can consider you. Good luck.
