don't be discouraged

I know a case, that F2 finds job and H1 sponsership. It means, as long as you find job and the company are willing to sponser your H1, you can work.
Go ahead to find job first, which is a big thing. Then talk about H1 sponsership.

I agree this process is tough, because of H1 quote stuff and there are many excellent people in US job market, and currently the H1 quote only applies for people with US degree. But nothing is impossible. Don't be discouraged by someone who doesn;t have confidence.

OPT, EAD stuff has nothing to do with you. I suggest you apply US school in your major, like school transfer. Don't rush into F2 so soon.
