They not only verify through references, but also will all the company after talking with your references(after knowing the exact chinese name of the company, they'll even call 114 to get real company number).

Actually the work experiences in China is not so important, once the company wants you. They just want to verify if what you said is true or not.The best way is not lie, this is also the easiest way to survive background check.
