For last several yeras, there are a lot of data center consolidation and one DBA end up have to manager 30-100 production databases and sys admin or developer manages develop databases. For small company, a lot of time DBA ia also sys admin. It will takes several years for company to use 10g and with new automatic management future for 10g, ........
If you are a sys admin now, then it will be good for you. If you don't like sys admin job then.......
