I do not know your school. At least, at Wharton, the MBA students and undergraduate student needs to take the courses with similiar titles. But the MBA level courses cover in much more depth because MBA students have more experiences and better training in math and statistics. In the United States, undergraduate education is kind of general education. I do not think an undergraduate major means too much. Nobody cares what is your undergraduate major at all in the finance job market. I am agree with you that people might need more training than MBA education to really appreciate finance. If this is true, you are even far more miles away from commenting on finance. Sit back kid. If you think you know finance because you learn how to compute NPV in Excel, think it again.
