You just proved the "Parento Principle," if that makes you feel better.
It seems that you take much pride in your work. Nothing is wrong to be proud of what you do. But keep it to yourself. You don't want your boss use it as part of your compensation package.
What you do for them is worth a lot of dough. Don't cheapen yourself by showing them your pride.
