Postdoctoral Position in Genome Editing and Cancer Immunotherapy
The nanomedicine laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at
the University of Kentucky invites applications for a NIH-funded
postdoctoral researcher position in the areas of genome editing and cancer
immunotherapy. Our lab is interested in interdisciplinary and translational
research that includes developing synthetic and biological nanomaterials,
studying the nano-bio interface at the cell and molecular levels and
applying nanotechnology in cancer immunotherapy. A particular interest of
the lab is to develop a nano-viral hybrid delivery system for CRISPR/Cas9-
based in vivo genome editing and utilizes this system for cancer immune
checkpoint blockade. The position starts in January 2020. The appointment
will be full-time for a 12-month period. The annual renewal of the contract
will be contingent upon the performance. The starting annual salary for this
position is $50,004.
Requirements: The position requires a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology,
biomedical engineering or a related field. Candidates with backgrounds in
viral vectors, genome editing, and cancer immunotherapy are highly preferred
. The candidate should have demonstrated excellent communication and writing
skills and a willingness to work in a research team.
Application procedures: Interested applicants should send a cover letter,
curriculum vitae, research statement, and the full contact information of at
least two references via email to Professor Sheng Tong (sheng.tong@uky.edu)
. The screening will begin immediately.
The University of Kentucky is one of the few universities in the U.S. having
a major academic medical center with six health sciences colleges including
Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences, and Public Health,
and a full spectrum of other academic colleges, all within walking distance
of each other. For candidates who desire to advance their career through
true integration of engineering and medicine with clinical relevance, UK
provides the right environment for them.

本末倒置了。这些小公司是从哪儿来的?所有免疫治疗的理论和实验基础又是从哪儿来的?
