Service Canada uses the information given on the Record of Employment (ROE) for determining whether people are eligible for receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. https://www.immigration.ca/records-employment-roes

建议楼主详细了解一下搬家是否能依然得到EI，如果可能，找个律师问一下。或到隔壁法坛问一下（挨了骂别怨我哈）。
