Your old boss will get some business and assuming (based on your sharing) you will get a chance to show off your success to get your dignity back if this is the way.

In the end of the day, we are all responsible for our happiness and inner peace. It seems to me that it has kept bothering you so that you wrote this much here – Just Do It.
