请教关于STOCK OPTION.

老公2008年在一家START-UP 公司工作，公司每年发INCENTIVE STOCK OPTION, 三年后老公离开这家公司了，现在公司还没IPO.那这个公司给的STOCK OPTION 还有用吗？我看期限有10年。 那我们需要现在买入公司给的SHARES吗?（价格很低) 还是等以后公司上市了再买？到底怎么处理STOCK OPTION? 谢谢。
