首先如果找到dream job但是上班时间不negotiable, just quit.

但是如果negotiable, 一般年初离开 makes the most financial sense.
Most big companies will give you full vacation payout even u work only one day in the new year.
另外一个是Medical FSA.  如果你选了$600 annual contribution, 你一月quit, 可以在quit前用去$600 (glasses, laser surgery... )即使一月份工资只扣了$60.  公司没有追赔的权利因为如果员工没算好会lose money.

如果有bonus, 更要搞清policy.

这些hr都不会告诉你,如果你不是他们的buddy.
