Say if your Chinese name is Xiaoqiang Zhang (a headache for an American to speak), and your English name is John, you can write your name as "John (Xiaoqiang) Zhang" in the job application.

Unless you are absolutely outstanding, people will perhaps rather interview and hire somebody with a name that they can remember and say correctly and easily.
