WASHINGTON—The Obama administration on Tuesday tapped Microsoft Corp. executive Kurt DelBene to succeed Jeffrey Zients and lead the effort to build out the HealthCare.gov website.

Mr. Zients, a trusted Obama adviser, has been in charge of the effort to fix the website since late October. He is slated to become the director of the National Economic Council in early 2014.
The White House recently said it would make Mr. Zients's position a permanent one. Mrs. Sebelius said Mr. DelBene would serve in this post for at least the first half of 2014。
Mr. DelBene is married to Rep. Suzan DelBene (D., Wash.), a second-term member of the House who previously worked for Microsoft.

"Mr. DelBene, who served as president of the Microsoft Office Division..."
Um, Microsoft Office is the suite of Products that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint... According to Linkedin DelBene has been working on this family of products for 21 years. AND HAS 0 HOURS of experience managing a healthcare and/or E-comerce site.
Mr. DelBene is clearly unqualified for such a position. How did he get that job anyway?!?!?

Thank you for that.
Notice that nobody in govt gets fired, either. Sebelius stays on, despite demonstrated incompetence and malfeasance. Zients goes on to another cush government job, despite fixing nothing. And a DelBene with no relevant experience but political connections is brought in.
And, no, it would not be different if the GOP were in charge, either. The political class protects their own.
