is not the right way for fight back at the moment, because you will end up losing.
If you want to fight, be diligent on documentation.  Use e-mail to communicate the person, so it can should your manager in the future that the person that is not a team player is him.  Wioth manger, if it is only hearsay, he will not take action against the person.
