Sound like you are the glass-half-empty kind of guy. You version of the strategy in workplace sounds rather cynical or a little bitter to me when I read it. The bitterness can come out occasionally and ruin your plan. My feeling is that looking at things from a glass-half-full perspective is actually beneficial for a person's overall well being.
