Your problem is much bigger than

the few incidents you have brought up.  You boss is a professional in playing politices, and it seems be to what he will do to move up.  So, for the event you had talked about between you and  老白, now I would guess, 老白 didn't win because of any of his merit.  He won just because your boss is afraid of promoting you.  It is pretty clear now that your boss knows that you are very capabal and If you get credit for what you can do,  he will be replaced.  So, he is going to try all he can to block you.    In order for him to change that, the only way is if you can show him to he will move up by promoting you.   There will be ways for you get around him, but each will cause fight between you and him.  I am not sure how much power he has over you and how much you care about the job.  Based on all of these, you might want to come up with a strategy.  Either put up with the situation, of fight it smartly.  Each has consequnce you need to weigh.
