It is very serious matter if you boss sent you a such type of letter because he/she might think you could be the weakest link in whole group/department that cause problems, for example, project delay etc..

Even you try your best, the result would be still the same that your will be the first patch of lay-off victims.

So, you should start seeking another job as soon as possible.
