The trick is using "i" instead of "u" in the conversation.
Second, say something indirect first instead of straight to the point. "I think I am lost today".
Third, blaming yourself instead of the person you asked in the tone. "I don't know what is wrong with myself today".
Last, always ask "could you please do me a favorite?" before you go on.
