job selection

I have a master of statistics and discountined Ph.D after completing all the coursework. Worked in medical school of a university for 2 and half year. Decided to switch to industry.

Now there are two opportunities. One is in a infomatics groups of medicare adminstration contractor company. Will deal will claim data. Another one is modeling analyst in an analytic innovation group in a big bank focused on marketing research. 

I think the later may be better for career development or maybe more challenge as finace will be a totally new field for me. However with two young kids not sure if there will lots of conflicts with my family respobi*****ilities.

Any suggestion?
