I am currently working as a contract for a top IT company in northwest,normally contract position could last 1-2 years depends on the budget or performance, the company has lots of contract position all the time, so it is easy to find new contract postion. normally the pay range is $50-60/hr, no benefit, I already worked for 3.5 years for 2 different teams.
Now just got a full time offer from a small company at Burbank, CA, the company online ad. says up to $150k/yr for the position, but HR director called me to pay me $120k/yr with benefit, I told them I am making $65/hr at my current position, when they asked me.
if this company is local, i will take it. if they pay me $150k, will take it too.
But now, it is difficult to make the decision.
1. which experience will looks better on my resume in the future?
2. does it worth the hustle to relocate, my 9-years son does not want to move, (have friends at neighorhood)
3. can i bargin the pay and how?
