If he is the major money machine of the family, keep his job is important.
If that city is in a better location, go for it.
It is not too hard to move for a middle school student.(better than high school.)

既然他不打他,你就继续打他好了. You should be no problem to find a 打他 job in that city.

Rent your current house out.

Don't move if that city is not a good place for family to live.
