I had same experience last year.

2 cents:

1) if u really need money, just wait and see. let them fire u

2) if u dont care about money and u want to be happy, quit now.

either way, I dont think u need to worry about employment records. I was fired and none asked for this issue when i got next job! but some HRs did ask in interview and be prepared.

when I was fired, the HR said they will not disclose this info to any other company and only say starting and ending date if needed. So who cares!
