这个合同我能签吗

在德州拿了offer, 在confidentiality agreement 有这样一段

During the term of this Agreement and for a period of 18 months thereafter

Employee shall not, directly or indirectly, perform duties (whether as an employee, consultant,

owner, financier, or in any other capacity) that (i) are the same or similar in general purpose or

function to the duties Employee performed for Company, or (ii) are likely to involve the use or

disclosure of Proprietary Information that the Employee acquired as a result of Employee’s providing

services under this Agreement, as or for any person, corporation, firm, or other entity that competes

with the business of the Company (as conducted or as proposed to be conducted during Employee’s

tenure with Company) within a fifty mile radius of any location in the State of Texas or in any other

state in the United States where Employee helped the Company provide its products or services.

这是不是意味着如果我不在这家公司干了，在18个月内不能在同类公司做类似的工作？这个合同我能签吗？
