any boss wants to control his employees well (or separate his employees from his boss) + your boss doesn't want to show his boss that he doesn't know what his employess are doing, especially your boss really doesn't know what you are doing (based on what you said) which makes your boss feel insecure.....So it is understandable what your boss has been doing this way and you should be supportive to your boss so your boss will feel better therefore your boss will like you more...make any sense?
