这幅画很神秘。因为画家Paul Gauguin很少画静物。他的画中静物经常是个symbol，有象征意义。传说Gauguin把他和老婆吵架的场面画进去了，就是看不明白。后来有人猜那个大木罐是hu*****and， 那个金属pitcher是wife。看那holder的位置倒挺象叉腰吵架的姿势的。他老婆一定不是淑女。
