背景调查的问题

在学校的实验室做过半年的volunteer,因为是相关的研究经验,想写在简历上,因为当时没有经过任何正式手续,只是认识老板就去了.background checking时如去单位查,会查不到.背景调查对volunteer的经历也查吗?
