美国老土，你在开玩笑吧？

她都交了辞职信，人家凭什么要给她 lay off 还 package?  她又凭什么要hire a lawyer? 你如果没喝多的话，肯定有你的道理，什么道理呢？ 是死马当成活马医？ 还是让她饱尝被嘲笑从而练就厚脸皮？

Would you please let me know what is the bottom line?

Or, would you please let me know what kind of package I will get if you lay off me?

If the package is good, I will make your job easier and accept it without hiring a lawyer.
