Yes, it happens very often

Some people start work in the new place, don't like it. Then go back to the old company th second day.

Some people resign from old company, then come back.

And resign again couple years later, and come back again....

We are in a large world, all sorts of stories.

You alwasy choose what is the best for you and your family. Don't care wether it is a old company or not.
