You did what you need to do.

Forget it and keep looking.

The good news is usually they do not reply the thanks letter because their first priority is complete the tasks thrit boss asked them to do.

Therefore, you still have the hope to become their SLAVE untill you get the deny letter (or NO ANSWER forever).
