Was there some problem the way I talked to my boss?

Today I had a chat with my boss - a western man.

When I said - Any advice from you on my work? He just smiled,

then I asked - is there anything I need to improve immediately? Suddenly he blushed.

Just wondering there maybe some problems with the way I communicated?
