What kind of people are your managers?

Well, some Americans are also like Chinese - getting paid even if they didn't work enough hours, or lie about things. Of course, there are some people who are not very flexible or too honest.  What kind of people are the Americans you work with?  If they are not that strict, you should be fine.  Just make sure the work you do are good quality.  Most professors in colleges know that not every dollar needs to be earned in the hardest way. The problem is if there are some other poor American students who doesn't have the chance to make easy money and now you are "stealing" their opportunities and money, they may say things. But not all Americans would bother to deal with you.
