Lack of background info...

Are you expecting to be promoted this year?  Have you asked it or your boss promised it a while before?  I don't see why someone will get promoted each time s/he accomplished a project well.  I'd be promoted to CEO already if the logic works. :)  On the other hand if you don't see the growth space in current company, you can always try something else.
