Description:
Provide expert management and coordination of all IT release activities for the S&T Content Technologies development. Lead the Release Management (RM) function in EJV by instituting and demonstrating industry best practices for release, configuration and implementation management. Ensure the integrity of releases and of pre-release configuration items by executing the following:
• Interfacing and managing multiple internal and external teams' configuration needs during release.
• Be CM/Release POC interfacing with customer's CM function for testing and release.
• Ensure Release Management processes are developed further, continuously monitored and improved over time to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Ensure Release Management documentation set is maintained.
• Ensure projects maintain configuration control of software baselines and modifications.
• Perform configuration audits; track, monitor and resolve discrepancy reports.
• Ensure development groups create, build and release software packages for testing and release purposes as per defined standards.
• Ensure Intellectual Property and documentation for software deliveries are created and stored in an auditable manner.
• Act as primary liaison between upper management and other functional groups for configuration and release management purposes.
• Conduct a weekly implementation readiness review to validate release packages being fit for purpose.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage the delivery of all software releases from the EJV Development groups
• Liaise with all stakeholders (QA, Development, Operations, Data, Product, and Project Managers) to manage any issues, requests and conflicts.
• Control and manage a schedule of planned releases to pre-production and production environments
• Dealing with requests from EJV Development groups for implementation of software releases
• Liaise with Operations to resource the installation of software onto pre-product and production environments.
• Working with QA, Development and Operations to ensure that development projects adhere to the release process and change guidelines
• Work with other development groups to define methods of working for release management
Qualification:
Education:
• Education to degree (or equivalent) level
Required Skills:
• Six to seven years experience in CM field.
• Demonstrated experience in all Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills; agile problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder needs across internal and external teams.
• Experience with SVN or equivalent.
• Strong English language skills both written and oral.
• Flexibility on working hours as many meetings will need to be outside normal Beijing working day.
Desired Skills:
• Two or more years as Configuration and/or Release manager.
• Experience with fixed income issues and/or financial experience.
• Understanding and experience in UNIX, Sybase, Perl or similar large relational database infrastructures
• Previous experience in an Operations or Development role
• Experience with modern tools and methodologies for doing source control, packaging and software release

Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives. * SUPERVISION: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel. * EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. At this level, graduate coursework may be desirable.
