How many of you found your jobs thru network?

It's said network is the most effective way to find a job, and most companies don't advertise job openings.

Also, some people said Linkedin is a good place to get noticed by employers, but when you have a very few connections, does that make you look bad? A new manager at my company has 75 connections. I have, maybe, 5. :P
