I think the dean doesn't agree, and don't want to say no for future relationship(your hu*****and or maybe you work there sometime). this is america culture.I got it from my office working expereience. You can keep looking other job and check this job sometime. When the dean agrees, 秘书 will imminently let you know.Good luck!
