Q1. Of course not. I am in the consulting side of our firm's business and have interviewed quite a few people in the past. If I hear your original answer, I will not make you an offer. We don't want to hire people who does not have a future at his previous employer - we like to hire the superstars of other companies..:-) Also, the purpose of the training we will put you through is not to get you ready for your new business. Rather, we would like to see you stay and make money for the company. You could say that you always enjoy new challenges and like meeting new people. Being an consultant will provide you an opportunity to expand your expertise by working on different projects at different clients. You will also love building relationship with your potential client contacts.

Q2. Not likely if you have multiple year experience. If you graduated from college not long ago, it could happen.
