I am not sure if this is common or not to us, overseas chinese technical people. They can always say you have communication issue, since they do not really like you.

I got the similar comments in my review and was laid off recently. I am not sure if this is related,

Sometimes I think this is difficult to change for us. Glass ceiling? We come from different culture background, and the language is not at the same level. Also, who want to give up position to us?

For us, employee, we are like a playing cards on other people's hand. They use you when they need.
