funny thing

I am preparing for an on-site interview. Big boss somehow got some wind about this and surprisingly came to see me today to do damage control. But it is too little and too late. My concern is I ahve not got the new job yet and may not get it eventually. If I still have to stay here, what should I do now to make my life easier later? my disloyalty is pretty clear now.
