suggestion needed

I joined my current company one month ago. I worked at a big company and refused one offer before I start my new job. I found that my current working environment is very hard: my boss laid off all team last year and she hired a part-time employee 9her fiend). Now she wants me to replace the part-time employee but asks this guy to evaluate my job performance. How to deal with this situation? Many thanks.
