Urgent: Renew H1B or EAD: how to negotiate with HR

It's time to renew my H-1B, and the lawyer is ready. But HR changed the mind, and they want me to renew my EAD instead (I had a EAD, but never use it) because it is cheaper and less work. How can I persude HR to renew my H1-B? please help. (I cannot type Chinese now)
