another angle to look at this:

is this a chance your boss is using your case to fight against her? Maybe more office politics behind this.

one thing we always have to remember, there are tons of politics. sometimes it's about us, but really it's not BECAUSE OF us.

Not try to be harsh or break the good relationship you've established with your boss, just another thought.

I always find in business, (any business), dont get too excited, or too frastrated if you get into any new opportunity, any trouble, there is always stories behind what you directly see, directly hear.....
