Try again?

I applied a position in Company A 1 year ago.
I had two round on site. Then I didn't heard anything.
I asked HR and was told they were still interviewing others.

A few days ago, I saw the same position in the same group
posted agagin. Shall I try it again? If I directly write to
the hiring manager, what could happen next? Doesn't it look
too silly?
