请问如果辞职，如何自己买医疗保险？

请问如果辞职，如何自己买医疗保险？

国内家里老人病了，工作很累，本打算主动被雷，但看来老板没有雷人的意思。如果辞职，回国半年照顾老人，没有医疗保险，想在美国买一个，以防万一，没经验，是不是没工作，可以申请一些便宜的自费医疗保险？就我自己。
