Do I have a good chance on this job opportunity?

I had an interview (hiring manager, his peers and director) in week one and 2nd round interview with the hiring manager in week two. Received phone call from HR on Monday in week three to talk about my current compensation and expected compensation for the position applied. Also, I was told by HR the hiring decision will be made this week. But today is Thursday, I've not heard anything yet. Called HR yesterday, left a message but no reply. Shall I keep calling the HR or email the hiring manager directly to follow up? Can anyone give me suggestions based on your experience?
