You can go for bioinformatics. This area does need strong knowledge on biology, medicine, etc.You should also good at Math, statistics, algorithms, etc. If you do not want start everything from scrach, you can also only look at scientific workflow systems for array data analysis etc.

Completed out of your old background is not smart. It is better to find a way where your knowledge can be used. Good luck.
